What We Love About Bad Hofgastein

Bad Hofgastein is a pretty, traditional Austrian market village set in the sunniest part of the Gastein valley within the Salzburg Province of Austria. The village sits on the widest part of the valley and benefits from an attractive pedestrianised centre. Here you will find many coffee shops, bars and fine restaurants. With it’s rustic charm, Bad Hofgastein retains a real sense of romance.

The Gastein Valley has 83km of snow-sure skiing with great funicular access to the slopes. On top of this, it is part of the vast Amadé ski region with over 760km of pistes all on one pass.

The area features 350km of marked hiking trails and numerous cycling routes and with cable cars remaining open throughout summer, you can be whisked to the tree tops in minutes! You can cycle down the mountainside, stopping at any of the 55 mountain inns and restaurants across the valley.
