The beautiful resort of Ehrwald is a small Tyrolean village situated between the magnificent Wetterstein and Zugspitze mountains. Ehrwald is a peaceful village that attracts visitors both in the summer and winter months. The town is bursting with traditional Austrian charm with restaurants and bars to enjoy.

Ehrwald is a hidden gem in the Austrian Alps, with three ski regions to choose from: Ehrwalder Alm, the Wettersteinbahn and the Zugspitze Glacier.

Besides various scenic lakes, this stunning village offers a wide range of hiking and cycling trails across the surrounding world famous mountains in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena.

Ski Scene

On offer in the Zugspitz arena, is a total of 190km of skiing. With a combination of 98km of blue runs for beginners and children to learn on. There is a total of 73km of red runs, and 19km of black runs for the more advanced skiers.

The “Platt”, glacier skiing area, can be reached directly from Ehrwald and offers fabulous high-altitude skiing at 3,000m, which is accessible nearly all year round. Further to this, the Tiroler Zugspitze Arena has fantastic cross-country skiing, and Ehrwald has a network of over 131km cross-country ski trails. The entire route also has complete snow making cover to ensure sublime conditions. For non-skiers there is also the opportunity to go sledding, tobogganing and curling in this region.

Summer Fun

Ehrwald makes a fantastic summer destination thanks to its warm temperatures and numerous scenic lakes. It offers a wide range of hiking and cycling trails across the surrounding world famous mountains in the Tiroler Zugspitz Arena. There is also the opportunity to explore the mountains at speed with freeride tours from the mountain to the valley!

The resort also boasts fantastic golf courses including the beautiful Zugspitze-Tirol golf club. This high quality course has previously been voted one of Austria’s top golf courses. With a splendid club house, pro shop, golf school, driving-range and an a la carte restaurant, the course is well worth a visit.
