For skiing and snowboarding, there are 40km of slopes available and 14 high-speed lifts. The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 600m and 2,000m. The wide-ranging pistes in Hinterstoder provide numerous runs for all abilities. Feel like World Cup ace Hannes Trinkl and succumb to the intoxication of speed. You have the opportunity to do so on the 3,500 metre long World Cup course. And what could be nicer than to enjoy the experience with a Kaiserschmarrn and a cup of coffee against the Alpine panorama?

In the Sunny Kids Park, young sports enthusiasts get their turn and learn how much fun it is to be on their own two boards. Many other winter sporting opportunities, such as cross-country skiing, touring, winter hiking, wild tobogganing, or snowshoe hiking are all available in Hinterstoder. Cross-country skiers and snowshoe hikers will find 120 kilometres of groomed trails that are second to none.

Despite its reputation as an excellent world-cup resort, Hinterstoder maintains a private and authentic family-feeling, where you can still find quiet slopes to enjoy to yourself.

Summer Fun

Both the experienced athlete and the leisurely summer hut hikers will fall in love with Hinterstoder. Passionate hikers will find over 600km of marked hiking trails against the impressive backdrop of the Tote Gebirge in the Hinterstoder Hiking World. From the hiking trail you can observe many different wild animals and flowers in their natural habitat.

For cyclists, the Pyhrn-Priel region is a true paradise. In addition to challenging downhill runs and technically interesting trails, the area also offers unique views. For a snack as you go, enjoy local cuisine in one of the many hospitable huts in the region. During a hike through the picturesque landscape, small and charming mountain huts invite you to linger and enjoy.

A special highlight of the area is the crystal-clear mountain lake, which is located at 1,800m above sea level. You can reach this special gem via a relaxing hike or a chairlift ride and be rewarded with a wonderful view of the surrounding area. The 18° cold water of the lake offers welcome refreshment on hot days.

For those who like an adrenaline kick, adventures such as rafting, canyoning or a tandem flight are available in this exciting resort. Hinterstoder offers perfect conditions all year round for paragliding and hang gliding.
