What We Love About Kaprun

The historic glacier town of Kaprun partners with Zell am See to form the Europa-Sportregion which is one of the prime tourism destinations in Austria. Located in the Salzburg Province, this traditional village has plenty of charm with lovely little shops and restaurants, as well as one of the best après-ski clubs in the region. It also hosts a superb new spa which was completed in 2011.

Kaprun sits at the foot of the Kitzsteinhorn Glacier. At a height of 3,200m, the glacier provides guaranteed snow in winter or summer for year round skiing.

There are also over 140km of groomed pistes in the region and Kaprun is only five minutes away from Zell am See with its beautiful lake. The lake is fantastic for swimming and leisurely boating trips in summer and even skating in the winter. Kaprun is easily accessible as it is only 85 minutes from Salzburg airport, 2 hours from Innsbruck and 2 hours 30 minutes from Munich airport.
